Decorative garden items, plants, bakery, produce, meats, deli-style and other small grocery items. The food is an outdoor takeout style. Nice concept. After 15 min I received my lunch order:pulled pork on a bun (it was good). My husband ordered French fries and a sausage on a bun. After I'd already received mine, his French fries and bun were sitting on the counter....so I found a picnic table and waited....and waited. He then suggested the beginning items of his order be replaced with fresh as they were stone cold ....and he waited..After 25 more minutes passed awaiting the sausage...and several customers behind him were served., he had had enough. He asked for and received refund.Unfortunately, we will not be back nor the few locals we had spoken with that afternoon who had similar dissatisfaction. Lovely spot, quality product, great idea but the food service section is poorly organized. and slow.
Love thus place for the many options. Today we had the blueberry turnovers while we grocery shopped... win win win!!
Yes, a great greenhouse. Yes, great fresh vegetables farmed many different ways. Yes, locally produced jams, pickles, etc. Yes, to the ice cream. But the food, wow. I travelled all the way from Ottawa for awesome falafels of all things. And fresh Atlantic salmon. Don't miss it!
I had an issue here a few days back where i had bought two bags of potatoes that had gone rotten and i had also picked up 4 rib eye steaks and cooked the first two that night and noticed that the meat was very tough. I don't like to return food and normally would never return food because of something like taste or texture not being quite right but these steaks were beyond just being a little tough and i didn't get to eat a single potato. I didn't have my receipt anymore so didn't want to try returning the stuff, not to mention i figured they would just think i was being fussy on the steak being tough. I put up a poor review of the place as i was a bit ticked off after spending just under $70 on food i didn't get to eat and the owner messaged me and explained why the food had issues and made good on giving me new bags of potatoes and 4 very nice rib eye steaks. The new steaks were the most tender rib steaks i have ever eaten and the blue potatoes are very good. I have never had problems with the meat from Kredls in the past, i have made some of the nicest burgers and steaks from the dry aged grass fed beef they sell.
We stopped at Kredl's enroute to a getaway at Ridgeback Lodge. This is a must stop in Hampton. We purchased all our supplies for a few days - fresh breads, deli meats, ready made salsas, hummus, free range eggs, cheeses, fresh produce. Kredl's commitment to selling local & organic products was evident. Super friendly staff. A great little gem!PS. Try the sweet potatoe brownies, you won't be disappointed!
