Sonic Drive-in - Hammond

Today, you can't go wrong with $1 chili cheese hot dogs all day at this restaurant. They are also really good, bro.

I visited this restaurant today and ordered two milkshakes - a hot fudge milkshake and a strawberry cheesecake milkshake, as well as a medium iced coffee with extra vanilla and a serving of large mozzarella sticks. I kept my order small this time because the last time I waited for 45 minutes, but this time they were quite quick. Everything was good, although they were out of marinara sauce, but that was not a big issue.

I had been promising my youngest son a milkshake for a long time (he prefers to exchange completed chores for milkshakes instead of money).

The dining experience here is decent. I was disappointed that they had run out of hotdogs, which was not enjoyable. The issue lies with their milkshakes and drinks. The "explosions" they serve are essentially vanilla ice cream in a cup with various toppings sprinkled on top. I had asked them to mix it a few times before, but they did not do so on my last visit. They also no longer include whipped cream on top, despite it being advertised on their app. The shakes are not very satisfying, as they are either overly sweet or taste like water that has been sitting out for a while. However, the recent offering from Alabama was better, with a well-rounded flavor and a generous amount of cream. This Hammond location has been around for a long time and has a cozy atmosphere that I enjoy. I would like to visit again in the future.

I received the best ice from this place. It was beautifully presented, and my server Cheyenne was very friendly.
