Harold's Chicken Shack - Hammond

This place certainly has the original taste! The only one shows the right and unique way to present their restaurant!

This was my first time in Harolds today. It was a bit dirty, a bit old, the menu prices ever covered with tape... the hours of the operation seem a bit shocked. That means it felt very like a Ma and Pop shop. The food was the best chicken I ever had in my life. It was about 3:00, and only a few people weren't so big a hurry. What I took for the daughter who led the register seemed a bit stressful as if all food workers had been in 2020-2021. I was as polite as possible, asked how they did and fell a few dollars in the top glass. Everything started to relax. I only have wings and they came with waffles and a piece of bread. When I went to my car, the chef came out (which I might have taken the mother) and gave me some extra sauces to try... very polite and polite. I see that many people are crazy or that... but I tell you you are missing the point... the food is amazing and at a great price. At the end of the day, everything is important.

This place is a hot mess. I ordered a 2 piece white on Tuesday November 21,2023 at 5pm. I received a half chicken breast, undercooked fries, very little sauce, and the cold slaw was spoiled. The owner Dawn, needs to check on how her meals are prepared and served. Never again!!!!!!

I have went there 3 times and ordered ahead asking for extra mild sauce. My food is always dry. They don't even offer me to pay for extra sauce. Chicken not all that good so the sauce helps if they gave enough.
