Cavalier Inn - Hammond

The restaurant hasn't changed in 30 years. The food remains decent, though I think it could benefit from a bit more seasoning. I do understand that they cater to an older clientele.

The pandemic greatly affected this restaurant. Although they tried their best to accommodate our group of nine older adults, a lot of the food was served cold. On the positive side, the relish trays were very enjoyable.

The Cavalier Inn is a delightful family-owned bar and restaurant that radiates a sense of nostalgia. The Polish cuisine is not only delicious but also rich in flavor—truly authentic and prepared from scratch. The welcoming family who runs the place makes you feel right at home. Don't miss the Polish Platter, and be sure to save some leftovers for later! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking excellent authentic Polish food in a friendly setting.

I was quite disappointed with my experience at the restaurant. We didn't receive the relish tray that was supposed to come with our dinner, and I had some worries about the cleanliness of the place. I won't be coming back!
