House of Korea - HAMILTON SOUTH

At the House of Korea last Saturday we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious array of bbq and hotpot. ..also have a traditional rice beer which is well worth a try

I had never been to Korean before so it was definitely a good experience my friend suggested we try it out so we did. It is located in a great area with heaps of parking available on the streets . We also were sitting next to the window so we could watch what was happening down on the street. They had enough seating available inside or outside but it was too cold to eat outside. We got our menus a couple minutes after we sat down than we got our water too so it made up waiting for it. They had a big variety of food to choose from so I just let my friend order for us. The sausage hot pot was amazing so if your ever there make sure you try it. I will probably be coming back here.

Absolutely amazing. The spicy pork will stay with me until the end. Emoo makes some of the most delicious food I've eaten.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and recommend the spicy chicken dish and the prawn and shallot pancake. The dishes are tasty and morish. The service was OK and the pricing was quite reasonable.

Fourth visit with friends. Won't be returning if I can help it. Walked in with four people. Waited 35 minutes for order to be taken. Tried to get the waiter's attention but was told repeatedly he'd 'take your order soon'. After taking the order we were told that customers with bookings 'get priority' and that the food would be at least 30 minutes. The waiter was, frankly, rude about it. Less than half the seats were full. Things have been fine on previous visits, but those had been on very quiet nights with nearly nobody inside. After the food finally arrived We had to ask for the side dishes that are usually given. The 'BBQ' squid was frozen and chewy, and the bibimbap was not anything to write home about.
