Village Fish and Chips - Hamilton

I have been twice for lunch. I had Haddock and Chips first and another time I had the Halibut and Chips. Both times, the portions were the perfect bite. Homemade batter and crisply cooked without being greasy. Chips are also home-cut and not greasy. The portions are not too large to create wasted leftovers, and not so limited as to leave me hungry. The price was much less than I have paid elsewhere for even less quality! note, it is licensed to serve beer as well. It is a family operated business of many years and they continue to be inviting to all patrons and share their experiences.I am looking forward to my next visit to enjoy Scallops and Shrimp!

Heaven to hell in 3 easy steps. fish is now so thin it becomes dry and the batter soaks up too much of what ever oil they use now...gross.coleslaw has changed and is really tiny portion which is their large, in a large there was two strands of carrot and awash in a now bad slaw dressing.this place was the best in ontario...famous...now it's a rip off , over priced and the fish is like painted on so thin.fries are cheaper potatoes and show it

Did not enjoy fish at all...way overpriced for quality. will not return. We did takeout so not sure if the food did not travel well..but we only went 3 km.

Best fish and chip shop around. Family owned, Waterdown landmark. Variety of fish to choose from-fresh,watch it being cooked.small eat in area, and take out. Fast and delicious. You won't be sorry!!

When I've gone and actually been able to purchase food it's great. However, 50% of the time I've gone they've been closed when the sign on the door states they should be open. Very frustrating.
