Fajitas were very good, could have done with a more generous helping of toppings and I probably could have gotten more if I asked but I made do.Good variety to the menu, our party of four were all pleased and satisfied. Staff were wonderful. We returned twice in our 4 day stay!
Decided to try this restaurant out for a date night. It took quite a while to find a seat and the atmosphere wasn't as great as we had hoped. Our server was extremely nice but we found ourselves waiting a long time for food and drinks. We found the meals to be very blah is the best word I can use to describe it. Im not sure if we would try this place again, it was a meal but not very exciting or appealing unfortunately.
Have you ever eaten somewhere for lunch (or dinner) and as you're walking back to your car wonder if you would ever go back? Well, that was the experience we had after leaving Turtle Jacks on Upper James, Hamilton recently. The place was very clean, service was very good, lots of parking outside and a 5 star waitress should have added up to an excellent review. I think the only downfall were the selections on the menu. I found that many menu selections were a bit odd. The soups
10 of us went to dinner on a Friday night. We had four small ones and six adults. Service was good and the food was fine. Not as good as Jack Astor's but close. Nice atmosphere for families and very kid friendly. Would go again.
A friend and I went for drinks and appetizers a few weeks ago. Our waitress was friendly and chatty. My disappointment was with how management handled my situation after I left behind an item.Let me start by saying I don't live in Waterdown. As soon as I got home that night, I realized that I left an item behind. I called immediately and the hostess found it. I told her that given I didn't live in the area it may be a few weeks before I got back to Waterdown. She said that was no problem. Two weeks later I came back and a manager was at the desk and went off to get it. Minutes went by and then he sent out some poor employee to give me a ridiculous story about it being next door because of renovations that had taken place. I said I would go next door, but apparently no one had a key. Hmm. So they took my name and said they would call me when they got it. After a week I called back and the hostess told me that the owner was in the store and that I could speak to him. Great! Surprise, surprise, after being left on hold for eons, the poor hostess comes back on saying that he had stepped out. Yeah, right.Needless to say, I won't be frequenting this restaurant again given management's obvious disdain for its customers. I fully acknowledge that I am to blame for leaving my item in the first place, but I was assured they would hold it. Otherwise I would have sent my friend to retrieve it the next day. It is the song and dance I am getting and the fact that management keeps putting the employees in the line of fire rather than speaking to me directly.
