This restaurant is a great spot for a casual catch-up with a friend. I always love trying their one-of-a-kind smoothie concoctions. The food is consistently tasty, especially the homemade bars they offer. However, the service is just average.
I had several nice meals at Green Bar on James Street in Hamilton - their smoothies are delicious and can be reinforced with elixirs. And the rice bowls are hearty, big and super filling!
My friend Jill and I have completely changed our lifestyles for the better by choosing to go vegan over four years ago. We have also cut out cereals and sugar from our diets. This change has made us feel amazing and more connected to the world around us. Every Friday afternoon, we try to do something new and different, and last week we decided to visit Hamilton. Jill discovered Green Bar on James Street, a street that is becoming more appealing each year. We were greeted by two friendly and enthusiastic servers who were more than willing to accommodate our no grain request. Jill opted for the Bombay Wrap Sans Wrap with Greens and was delighted with her choice. I ordered the Falafel bowl, which was equally delicious, especially with the rice substituted for greens. The seasoned dry limes were a standout as well. Despite not typically being smoothie fans, we were tempted by the fresh ingredients on offer. We will definitely be returning to Green Bar in the future!
I come to the Green Bar about 1-2 times a month for the smoothies. I think are are very creative with their menu and appreciate the quality of ingredients. I would characterize the staff as indifferent at worst but Today I came to the GB...and was met by a rude server who took my order and then wandered into the kitchen for 10 mins before returning and starting my drink. A queue was starting to form and she could not have cared less. It’s become quite the apathetic hipster joint.
