Shoeless Joe's - Hamilton

A couple of buddies and I went on a Thursday night. The bar was empty, and it still took us 20mins to get any service for a drink. We went upstairs to the patio. Great spot out there. We all ordered a beer and had great conversation with a few laughs. We ordered another beer, and had one shot with some other friends, that had showed up. We made 1 cheer, and were told that "this is not a bar. it's a restaurant"! needles to say we didn't stay after that! Very disappointed.

We have been twice and both times the food was great but the service sucked. The first time, we ended up getting our meal for free because our waitress disappeared on us for over 30 min. The second time, she was just really slow. All the other waiters were running around and we asked them for things more then our own waiter cause they were much quicker. The food is definitely what will take us back. The place is new and very clean and lots of seating inside and outside. They have many tv's to watch sports and stuff as well.

Ate here with my husband after we did some shopping and we had the calamari, wings, and shepherd's pie. The alcoholic drinks we had were called Blue Line and Flower Power. The Blue Line wasn't as flavourful a as the Flower Power. The calamari were pretty good and came with aioli sauce and sweet chili sauce. The wings came with fries and the usual carrots and celery. I went with the smoky chipotle BBQ sauce. The sauce is supposed to be medium heat but I found it to be mild at best - it was still delicious though! My husband's shepherd's pie was very flavourful. Our server, Paulina, was very attentive and friendly. The big TVs everywhere showed various sports games and there was a pool table but they weren't distracting at all. We'll definitely be coming back.

Menu variety was impressive, but the quantity of food we got for the money was ridiculous. Visited once as a couple and again for a retirement bash with about 30 people. Service was slow , food and drinks took forever all night long. We really wanted to sample lots on the menu but will never go back due to the extremely poor service and the ridiculously small portions.

Some friends and I came for nachos, sangria, beers and Caesars. The drinks were a bit pricey, but good overall. Sangria was very sweet and it didn't seem to have much alcohol in it. The service was prompt and friendly.
