MacRoni's Italian Eatery - Hamilton

My friends/family would annually go here, every April to celebrate a bunch on bdays. Probably 10 of us and we would spend a lot of money as it isn't cheap there. The food was good, our waitress was super nice. The owner was incredibly rude to a few of the guests. He completely over reacted to one of them bringing a small cake, yelling and screaming. He told friend's they were to early, then got mad at other's who were a bit late. He was so unprofessional and we will never be back.

The owner is really nice , personable and on site. the food was amazing but the bruschetta bread is to die for here. nice atmosphere great food yummy wine assortment and knowledgable waitstaff

I have been to this restaurant periodically over a number of years ranging from just two of us to six. Service by staff has always been very good- timely, friendly and knowledgeable.I rated it as average as the food quality/taste is rather uneven. The meals we have had have ranged from average (basically good) to excellent (this includes when i have ordered the same dish). However, we have nevered experienced a meal one would call poor. The restaurant gets quite busy and the quarters are quite tight. Care has to be taken around the entranceway if you are going to the front or back of the restaurant as there are unexpected one step level changes and as the area is somewhat dark easy to trip. Portions provided are of a good size and at times you will end up taking it home. Prices are somewhat high, but this is not unusual for Italian eateries. Would i go back again? Sure.

We have been a few times and I'm surprised by the mixed reviews. The food is good, prices are comparable to other Italian restaurants in the area. The restaurant has had a makeover and looks great.Service is good and the wait staff is attentive. It is a smaller restaurant and if you are set on going here then call for a reservation.Restaurant patio is nice in the summer and would recommend trying it out. The food is always well cooked and plentiful.It's not the cheapest but you do get good quality food.

We discovered this place last year. Our daughter goes to Mac and this has become our "go to" place when she has time to have dinner with "the parents." We love it. It is friendly, cozy and the food is great. We have probably been through most of the menu. It is all good. Pizza, pasta, veal, chicken parm--all the classics--and all are good. Don't expect service as would get in a big chain. That is why we go t family run places--what it lacks in speed (it is not that slow) it makes up for, in spades, in warmth and friendliness. Ambiance is also great.
