Hambrgr - Hamilton

It was my first time at Hambrgr and it was definitely my last.

We sat out on the patio which was very clean. I tried the "not a taco" burger and substituted the Gordita bun with waffles, my friend also had the same burger but with the Gordita buns as is. Burger tasted amazing. We also had the chopped kale and apple salad - but substituted the apple for avocado instead. The salad was served in a big portion and it was delicious. We also ordered fries supreme which was good and a milkshake. The feature milkshake of July is the "don't be crueller" I recommend to share this drink, it was a maple bacon milkshake, which was candied bacon, it was salty and sweet. The ice cream tasted like maple and the donut part was good too. Overall milkshake was amazing. The only thing I will add is they should have brought the fries supreme out first before our burgers because we ordered the fries as an app, and by the time we ate our burgers we were too full.

We were visiting Hamilton from Manitoba and found Hambrgr on a best restaurants list. We are very happy we tried it, very good food. Waitress was friendly and attentive. We were a large group with quite a few young children and she handled everything with grace and patience and was at ease with the kids. The hamburgers were excellent and the Notorious P.I.G poutine was YUM! The portions are great and, if you don't have large appetites, could be shared. I tried a few of my niece's sweet potato fries and kind of wish I had ordered those instead! The only reason I cannot give a full 5 out of 5 is that they are not well set up for a large group walkin and do not take reservations. We were there mid afternoon on a weekday and would have had to wait 45 minutes to sit all together inside or we could sit on the patio right away. We chose the patio but not all tables had umbrellas and in the southern Ontario heat this was not very comfortable. However, this is only an issue if you are a large group, if you are not...well, then pretend there is a 5 out of 5 rating from me
