Bar on Locke - Hamilton

Excellent food, small, cozy environment...great service/casual atmosphere....love the Locke street shopping and lots to see....Bar on Locke is a very special place to spend time!

Consistently fantastic dishes and lots of variety. Best wings in Hamilton. Baked Brie is my favourite as well as lamb shanks and chicken curry. Service is friendly and helpful. The bar interior is like an updated 1940's bar and bistro. Great beer and wine list - lots of variety. Have been dining there for 6 years and never disappointed

My husband and I had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. Our wait staff was very good. I ordered the portobello mushroom burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was excellent and I received a large serving of the sweet potato fries which were also very good. My husband had a sandwich with a salad and he also really enjoyed his meal. We had wine with our meal and it was all reasonably priced. I really enjoyed that the restaurant was open to the street, on a really nice night it feels great to have fresh air. This was our first time here, and we will definitely be back. Really enjoyed it.

Comfortable atmosphere, not fine dining but still upscale from the West Town down the street on Locke (don't get me wrong I like the West Town too!). I found the prices a little high but overall I do like it, food was great and I will go back. I like sitting in a booth the best!
