I looked at the reviews and this was listed as nr. 1 in hameln. I have to see this in connection with the city where I was, and that was the reason for the 5-star rating. I was 4 nights in town and I would be surprised if there was a better place in town. the waiter poured something prosecco for everyone on the table, what I thought was free and a nice gesture. I had the carpaccio and the filet with green pfeffer sauce. it was served with bratkartoffels and a bit sweet. carpaccio is what you expect from a good US restaurant. high quality bark, parmesan, rucola, olive oil, lemon squeeze. the filet was medium, tender and well prepared. the sauce looked slightly separated or badly mixed and had no big kick from the pfefferkorn sauce. that was the only real problem. had tiramisu to dessert, not complaining. I would definitely come back and recommend. the service was very good, professional and attentive.
I was in town for business. I had been to this restaurant once before about a year ago, and gave it high praise. I went on a Tuesday night with a colleague that hadn't been here before. We both had the filet steak with pepper...corn sauce and split some chianti. I started with a caprese salad and had tiramisu for dessert. Everything was very good. The funny thing is the company we were visiting took us here the next night not knowing we had been there the day before. No complaints though. That night I had the sea bass which initially came while but they offered to bone it table side which I appreciated. With more colleagues in town we went again the next night. This time of us split a couple pizzas for a starter. The diavola and one with artichokes, ham, mushrooms, and maybe more. I could see the dough being tossed from the table in the kitchen. I went with the sirloin steak which I enjoyed. The last night there was only of us, but returned for the night in a row. I went with the lasagne which was a for me. Overall this is a very good restaurant, good food, service, and ambience. The location was convenient from either hotel zur krone or Mercure. Price was reasonable as well. It's worth noting the the night was a Friday night and they were quite full. When greeted at the door and asking for a table it didn't look promising. However the waiter that had served us of the previous nights recognized us and found us a table. That goes a long way in my book. I would definitely recommend and return myself as well.
Easy to reach from mecure hotel. a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere with a huge menu selection and low trips. eating is fantastic, with helpful and attentive staff. a very pleasant culinary experience - highly recommended
The prices are lower than a year ago, but so we thought, was the quality. Although still acceptable, the meals were more common than inspired. the tiramisu was very tasty.
Recommended by friends to try this restaurant. good that we did this, the greeting was friendly
