Koz Ocakbasi - Hamburg

We just ordered randomly and it was incredible! Could not recommend enough. If you are in Hamburg, you have to try it.

Vi var besviken på allt . 2.09.2022 This restaurant is not serious and not really a charcoal grill restaurant . They serve food skewers not iron skewers because we go to restaurant to eat meat with iron skewers it is different taste. The most important thing is that they discriminate against customers . they serve iron skewers of meat to daily customers and we are tourists they served grill sticks plus they served an old tzatziki that stood outside next to the grill for several hours because it was hot plus the kebab was half cooked from the inside and it was burnt from the outside. just because we were tourists and we are from sweden I do not recommend ...

The food was competent Turkish BBQ type stuff, nothing outstanding compared to Turkish food we've had in Britain. The waiting staff were friendly with the people who were obviously the regulars, chatting and laughing with them, shaking hands as they left etc. but they treated us like a fart in a spacesuit, clearly no time for us and no interest in being even remotely welcoming. They did absolutely nothing to stop us being harassed at our table by the street beggars. It seems they're only really interested in the business for their local pals and having to serve outsiders is just an annoyance so I'm guessing they'll be happy to get poor reviews like this if it helps keep the tourists away.

Good place for dinning. We have eaten doner kabab with turkish ayran. Very good but waiters are stupid and intrusive- when me ordered doners without garlic, they said ok and bring with garlic.

I have tried many turkish resturant in other countries. But the quality of this one was not comparable. We sat in second floor . There was no air. I could just smell of the food of others. The Soup soup i ordered had almost no taste. But the bread and kebab we ordered was delicious.
