Kleinhuis' Restaurant - Hamburg

The food is very good, but the waiters does not know who ordered what and if you order a bottle of water or a cup of coffee they forget. Perhaps we we just unlucky with the waiter. The place is definitely worth a visit.

We were a group of ten people and were recommended this local restaurant. At back of a hotel baseler so separate from hotel. Friendly waiters with menus in English or german . Was evening and nearly empty . Set menu seems good value which some...took I opted for two starters and a main Waiters were friendly and gave our group a small taster for free and some wine I had a pea soup with cream very good Then a aubergine tomatoes cheese baked Italian style (although it german chef) was also good Main was fillet beef and some gratin carrots I ordered side salad mixed Some friends had trout or cod also tasty Desserts I skipped but looked good Will return

The breakfast here was very good with a great range of meats, cheeses, fruits, yoghurts, jams, breads, pastries etc. (multiple options of each). The only problem encountered, was (unlike the reception team in the hotel) that the waiters and waiters were silent. They seemed scared...(or didn't want to talk). Even when spoken to, they would nod back. The only employee who seemed to speak was the chef topping up the buffet. Lucky I was here to eat, rather than talk! Recommend breakfast here (every day).

This is truly a hidden gem , a small side road from the main street. This is a hotel restaurant , but what a restaurant. Its outstanding. Great value ,great service, great food. We had the Lamb and a dessert it was both outstanding. If...you are in Hamburg you should visit this place.

The Restaurant Kleinhuis gave us an amazing experience. We hade a voucher via another Site but we did something wrong when using it. As we recognised this during our stay we nervously asked whether this would be a problem. It wasn't! The manager came, promised...to check if they can accept it not minding our mistake and soon told us, that it wouldn't be a problem. But this isn't the main reason for my perfect view on Kleinhuis Restaurant! The service was perfect the whole evening! There was not a single flaw in how we've been treated. High class service leaving no possible complaint. When we've been there, there weren't many other guests due to german holidays, so they could focus on giving the few guests an astonishing evening! Also the food was amazing. It's a little pricey there but the food definitely makes up to it. We also had two bottles of wine. When we asked for a recommendation, we weren't told to have an expensive one, no, they told us, that a certain wine for would fit our menu perfectly and so it was. I have never ever been so satisfied with a restaurant visit as in Kleinhuis Restaurant, thats why my recommendation here is so very positive! Go there and enjoy!
