Rewarding. the tatar is a beautiful looking dish, and the adorable is delightful. very classic and traditional. a bit sticky, but highly recommended. if you want a more accessible option, the small brother "small jacob" is a kind of wine cellar with the worst service and eat, but lively and very relaxed.
TL;DRIf you are looking for an upscale culinary experience, this is not the right place for them. for us is a dinner the same thing others think for a concert or a stand-up show. it's not just about eating. it is more about having an experience. the evening meal is an experience that can last up to 4 hours and remains in memory for many years. we arrived and everything seemed normal. we were immediately announced with the menu and asked for a few minutes to take a look at it. we had waited about 10 minutes until someone came to us to pick up the order. the attempt to give someone attention was not easy. We usually take the tasting menu, but we weren't too enthusiastic, so we ordered 3 and told the waitress that we will order the main dishes afterwards. the service was extremely slow. it took forever until the first and the second gang arrived. it lasted one and a half hours, only to finish 2 starters. every cure was okay. wasn't good. was not bad. at the third starter we were so disappointed that we wanted to leave as soon as possible. we asked for the scary and were amazed that 2.5 euro were calculated for water of conduct! absolute scandal. do they really lower this institute to demand money for water in the pipeline!? “Many German restaurants calculate tap water.” that's what I was told. we are, was the first time for me. Germany and worldwide! even though I am annoyed about the wasted money, I am even more annoyed about the time wasted and the bad evening. we were in a 2-week holiday and had eaten on the way in some excellent restaurants (the ledbury, facil). we were so confident that this will be at the same level. unfortunately not. I must stress that the staff was very nice and attentive. However, when we visit a 2-star restaurant, we hope for more than just a friendly face. the service in the best restaurants is always inexorable. the service team is so professional, almost as if it would predict any desire before they even ask for it. of which this place is far away. if this place hadn't had any stars, I could have enjoyed it because my expectations were much lower. is there something good to say? wein was just wonderful. That's what it says.
An absolutely well-deserved call is proven by first-class quality, starting with the perfection of cocktails on the bar and the elegance, raffinesse and the excellent taste of the menu. one of these rare places where they know that they will return.
We were here to introduce my friend to the upscale kitchen. the expectation was a classic restaurant with classic food touched by modern techniques. In summary, they have really met and surpassed my expectations. When we arrived, our moms were immediately brought to the wardrobe if we wished this, and we were led to our table, after we had received some options depending on the desired view (on this Sunday) evening was not fully booked) our experience began with an incredible view over the elbe painted with the beautiful orange colors of the sunset. after ordering the 6-course menu, our experience continued. the service was unbelievable, attentive and professional with exactly the right amount of personal. in the jacob’s restaurant they don’t get the expressionist, super modern eating in Michelin style, which serve many upscale restaurants, but classic dishes where the taste is at the middle of the line. the presentation is still great and with regard to the taste they really reach their destination. the Mediterranean vegetables with smoked paprika was perhaps the most bold meal on the menu, but although it was a bit an outsider, it really added a bit color to the experience and was in my opinion a very welcome note. all the other dishes were fantastic, the trout and the beard soup were both incredibly well seasoned dishes. the main dish (rindsfilet with draught and miniknödeln and red wine juice was a symphony of balanced aromen, everything had its place. Together with the meals we had the premium cru wine pair, which was the cheaper option but very, very well matched. the reason for each game has also been well explained what I appreciate, as there is a hint to them which taste directions are interesting to examine it more closely. the port pairing to the cheeses that were not on the menu was also a great combination. Finally, they should make sure that they save a little space in their likes for the dessert car that comes in at the end of the meal, and ask them to choose it for them when they trust. absolutely great pralines complain. what I think is rare, but in a restaurant this kaliber is still expected. not often deserves a restaurant 5 stars at tripadvisor. but in this case I have absolutely nothing to complain about, I must say that it does.
