This is an unpretentious cafe type eating house cooking fresh fish to order and doing it rather well We had the sole which was simply cooked on the flat grill and was delicious ; other dishes especially the soup looked equally good.

Fisch So is an unpretentious little fish shack in Hamburg’s fish market area. It’s not fine dining, but the fish is good, fresh and affordable. Try the fish cakes (Fischfrikadellen) with potato salad and wash them down with an icecold Becks beer. The fish...cakes are excellent, the potato salad is best forgotten, the beer makes you forget the rest.
