I didn't even bother to give it back. at the end of dinner he asked what we want to drink, and 5 of us answered that we wanted an Irish coffee; the waiter indulged his eyebrows and annoying rolled his eyes and said that they did not serve it (I mean, they had literally walls full of ghosts etc. what's the point? How difficult can it be to make a bar an Irish coffee? we have asked (registered that we spent well over €1100 in this night? the waiter then picked up the cook from the kitchen in his defense, I suppose, and the cook said: I know Irish coffee but we zon 't have ze zutatz. ... I'm sorry: a restaurant with pretensions that didn't make the ingredients to make Irish coffee!? fyi: it's coffee, Irish whisky and whipped cream. just like 123. this restaurant is a sweat. an unfriendly sweat.
We were 4 for the Schlemmer Sommer Menu and had a great time at Atlas. It is located in a courtyard which is very cool, tucked away so that it is quiet, surrounded by industrial buildings which have been tastefully renovated. We took a spot on the...terrace and stayed on through a downpour, protected by a large awning. The staff was great, friendly, skilled and they even served us while carrying umbrellas! The menu was 4 course: Beef Tartar with Avocado and Mango, Scampi Ravioli, Veal with a Parmesan Crust and then Cherry Tiramisu. Some of us had some minor variations, the kitchen was very accommodating. It was all delicious recommended!
Sunday, our first night in Hamburg, cold, wet, starting to snow. Didn't want to walk far from hotel. Turned up in jeans and t-shirts, probably would have been massively underdressed any other night, but the Resturant was very quiet. Oh were we in for a...surprise. Fine dining all for the price of a good pub meal back in blighty. Had the set 3 course menu, and was blown away from the start. Wonderful and friendly staff, fantastic meal, will come back again, will recommend to friends....
Relaxed location, great food and very friendly staff. I have dined here alone on several occasions, the staff are very welcoming and speak excellent english! the food is very good and there is something for everyone on the menu.
We went there for a business lunch, unfortunately I was not so hungry and go very simple and tried their Ceasar salad, it was fantastic, I want to go again when I am really hungry:
