Thirsk was our stop off point on route to Richmond and we chose The Pantry for our lunchtime break. The panini choice was very good with most of our group enjoying them along with skinny chips and salad. The presentation was excellent and creative with...small milk churns for our tea and coffee and little colanders for our salads along with cast iron tea pots on large chunks of wooden blocks adding to the whole effect. The service was friendly and efficient ensuring that we all had a memorable meal here. Highly recommended!
Popped in for lunch after visiting the James Herriott museum and we enjoyed the posh cheese scone platter that was so tasty, accompanied by a good sized pot of tea. We didn’t have room after for any cakes but they looked delicious too. Lovely friendly...atmosphere and we will be returning the next time we’re up this way.
Just called in for lunch on our way to York and this place was a delight. The staff were lovely and our sandwiches were fabulous. Everything was so fresh, and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend!
I booked in at The Pantry for Afternoon Tea on 5th June as a birthday treat for my Mum. I called ahead on the day to check that there would be enough room for my toddlers pushchair and the lady I spoke too said she...would reserve a table with plenty of space. The cafe is lovely and the staff were so friendly and accommodating which extended to being playful with my daughter. It was a really hot day so we were given the choice of having a cold drink instead of a tea. The Afternoon tea selection was fantastic and very tasty, we particularly liked the varied selection of cakes and scones. Mum had a great time too. Thank you all for being so helpful.
