Got a strawberry rhubarb pie for my bday from slatesand let me tell you I’d watch paint dry on a wall in line at the DMV, while having to listen to an 8 year old telling me knock knock jokes in order to get another pie from Slates. One of the best pies I’ve ever had. Highly recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Been trying to make a reservation for 3 days. You can only call no resy or open table I wish. Lady put me on hold 3 times and then hung up. So if you’re reading this I need a reservation Friday 9/15/2023 for 5 people. Thank you Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

I absolutely love this place, especially the outdoor seating. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5.

Slates has good food, and our meal was no exception. But something was wrong with either the kitchen or service because the time between our salads and our main course was about 30 minutes. I was only halfway through my dish and the server was clearing plates and bringing coffee. We definitely felt rushed. For starters we had the crab cakes and aioli which were great, although slightly dry. The bread is awesome and it’s a generous portion. The seafood risotto is very tasty although this one was swimming in olive oil. The flatiron steak was delicious- great sauce and perfectly cooked. The lobster roll is also a great choice. The sides of mashed potatoes and roasted carrots are awesome. We finished with a M&Ms cookie and a lemon bar. Both were just okay- seems like they weren’t super fresh.

This restaurant offers the best cuisine you can find north of Portland. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch, receiving a perfect score of 5 in each category.
