Driving to Munich, we pulled off the road to find a high rated Doner shop. The Doner (Donair) is different than what we are used to in Canada. This was in a town called Halle. It is an old one story store on the side of one of the roads in to town. Run by two guys from India and a few people who seem to hang out there.First thing, like many places in small town Germany, its cash only. We tried paying in Pounds and USD. They were good sports and we laughed a lot with them.Found that you could use an app to place and order, pay through PayPal and have it delivered to the Doner shop that makes it. Odd, but that is how we paid for the Doners. As for the Doner, the meat is much more processed in texture which is served in a pita, like a taco with veggies and sauces and not Wrapped. It was good, a bit different but good.
This is a small typical pizza/Döner Kabob place. Mostly take out, but there are 4 tables inside. Parking is next to the building, and will only hold 2-3 cars. There is a large pizza selection, and the Döner is excellent. I would suggest the Dürüm Döner (wrap), as this is really good and filling. There is a pretty extensive selection of vegetarian items on the menu, so Vegetarians won't be left out. The pizza is good, but average. I tried the Büschdorf pizza and it was good. This is a place that is frequented by locals, and seems to be pretty busy, but they get the food out quickly. If you want good, take out Turkish Döner Kabob, this is a great place. Highly recommended!
It was there twice before the end. We always have something to eat. It was specially made for us the pizza oven. Always friendly and polite. Come back because it tasted us. Don't let the outside be destroyed. Everything's clean in the store.
Good quality and nice operation, even if not very easy and simple. Always pays a small snack:
