Vandal Doughnuts - Halifax

Absolutely loved my experience with vandal doughnuts! the customer service was spectacular and there were 6 types of vegan, from simple aromen to to more complicated/exciting. I caught harbour fog, boston cream strawberry rhubarb pie and I was not disappointed

They had 3 vegan options (blue frit, bouzton cream and bribe) and they were all delicious! good, tidy and chewy. the Boston cream was amazing!

They usually have 3-4 different vegan flavours. My favourites are chocolate peanut butter, Boston cream and Oreo twist. I wish they would add new flavours to what they already have. Service is friendly, but be prepared to stand in a long line especially on the weekends.

I love seeing vegan options proudly advertised in places like this where you wouldn't expect them. However, the doughnuts were just okay. I had the vegan raspberry lemon one and it satisfied my immediate craving for something sweet, but I wouldn't hurry back.

So Halifax is pampered for vegan donuts. If this was the only place that served vegan donuts, I would be regular. But... it's my second favorite donut shop on Gottingen. Vandal has a great taste, but I often find her donuts greasy and the store is badly designed and often crowded – I think they are a victim of their own success. I'm still swinging by sometimes, and I'm never gonna turn a donut down when someone from Vandal offers me. They usually have a few different vegan flavors (check their Instagram for what they have every day). Worth a visit, but I usually go down a few blocks. Update: My friends recently ordered me a vegan donut cake for my birthday. If you are looking for an unconventional birthday cake, this is a great option! Updated by previous review on 2020-07-07
