The Lucky Penny - Halifax

A cosy space with nine wooden tables - 8 with two chairs and one with 6.(The large table has a bowl containing "lucky pennies").Excellent "Americano" made with coffee from North Mountain.Decent selection of pastries - mostly cookies, many of which, were nicely decorated.An interesting, and different, variety of items on the menu.I will definitely return to try The Caprese, roasted veggie quinoa salad, or the "overnight oats".Efficient, friendly counter service.Varied selection of art and photographs on the walls.Very good wifi service.

Don't miss this little spot for a great coffee and delicious begels too! There aren't enough independent coffee shops in Halifax so make sure you give this one a try!

Love the decor and the environment! The wallpaper is just ..... !!The coffee is one of the best in town. The blend is my fav.I always order the soy milk latte with one extra shot. Heard that their muffins are really good too. Love their granola bowl but it's down the shelf forever SO SO SADThey should have a bigger variety of food and bake goods! That's the only problem

Open now for just over three months, Located between Oxford and Connaught, The Lucky Penny has become the "go to" coffee spot on Quinpool Road. It's a great space for kicking back with a book or even to have a meeting. Beautiful interior to match the fresh food and awesome espresso. The seating is well laid out and the lighting is great. If you haven't been there yet, what are you waiting for.
