The Captain's Boil - Halifax

The captains cook flavors is a must try. Unfortunately, everything is on the spicy side to the point where our young children could not eat in the restaurant. Delicious food, but expensive.

We had a great meal, the seafood was great as was the captain's boil sauce (would highly recommend). Ordering was pretty simple and it was a great opportunity to get messy and eat with our hands.

A unique dining experience. I had the mussels with garlic sauce/mild and they were very tasty.

Only grabbed a drink here. If you're in the mood for very specific seafood only perhaps a great place but cant speak to that. Think crabs, oysters and lobsters. Menu was limited. Hence we just grabbed a drink here. Deck is nice with a nice perch for people watching.

Food was great. Service was terrible. My husband and I stopped in for supper during pride. We sat on the deck over looking Spring Garden Road, it was nice. After the waitress taking forever we order drinks and supper. Thought drinks would come out fairly quickly as they were not busy at all. I had to go in an ask for them. The 2 employees were in their phones and ignored me until I spoke to them. Totally unexceptionable. I’ve been in customer services for years and certainly can appreciate the stress that comes with dealing with people but it seemed they could care less we were there. Felt like we were bothering and interrupting them. We definitely will Not be back. It’s a shames as we strive to support local businesses.
