I hate to say itbut I don't get the hype around Smoke's.
I've never heard of anything called poutine before.
OK, I'm admittedly not a big Poutine fan, but I did get a serving of fries from Smoke's and they were quite good, albeit a bit pricey (close to $6 with tax) -- although I must say the portion was not small. Someone else in our party had the Poutine and found it to be quite good.
Big format! a 2-bread poutine would have been enough! from the good grain cheese of the quebec! several succulent varieties.
