Sicilian Pizza Donairs Subs - Halifax

Their 2.99 pizza slice is a very good deal, and their regular poutine has a homemade vibe about it. There was an older guy with glasses who served us and he was so polite! We'll come back here next time we go downtown.

The donairs were good but not the best I've had and the service was pretty slow considering we were the only ones inside. The pizza had a good flavour but wasn't served warm so that was a little bit disappointing.With so many options in the city, I would probably chose somewhere else to eat.

I saw some of the other reviews and was surprised. I have moved away from Halifax, and don't know the current standards for donairs, but my go-to's are this place and the King of Donair by the Halifax Commons. My donair was a regular sized one, and it was large, but I finished it in one sitting. My brother in PEI asked me to get him a "genuine Halifax Donair", so I got him a large sized one. He had to eat it over two sittings because it was enormous.As I noted, I don't know the current standards for donairs in Hfx, so I am going to rate this good, so that I don't misrepresent how great I thought the donair was, and I was pretty satisfied.

Garbage food and service. Rarely give one star but was recently treated so badly here. No functioning restrooms. Told me they don't take debit when two people in front of me paid with it. Then refused to give a reason why I was only allowed to pay cash. Staff looked intoxicated. I do not recommend at all.

We went for lunch, donair was not large, found not enough meat, also found meat, slightly spicy but ok., pizza was better than the donair, lots of topings and perfectly cooked. Located at pizza corner, parking difficult due to construction nearby. Service behind counter, was describe as being basic.
