We visited Hubbards to escape from Ontario, and based on family recommendations for seasonal rentals, we chose Log Cabin 3. It had everything we needed, plus the beach was nearby and very clean. The cabin was also pet-friendly, which was a definite bonus. The amenities included an onsite laundromat, and there was a grocery store and pharmacy just a four-minute drive away. The cabin came fully equipped with essentials, and if we needed anything extra, it was available at the store. There was a cozy little fireplace in front of the cabin, and while it didn't have air conditioning, we brought some additional fans that helped keep the place cool during the day. As for dining, we enjoyed meals at The Shore Club, Lockster Dinner, and Tuna Blue, all of which offered incredible views of the bay. Overall, our experience exceeded our expectations. The log cabin had a charming 1960s feel, providing a unique alternative to typical modern hotel rooms.
I absolutely love this place! We hadn’t been here for three years, but this year we stayed in a three-bedroom holiday home that offered amazing views of the water. It's called Spruce Grove. I can't wait to return as a customer!
To share a lot. Camp sites are nearby, but do not stop slide film. 24-hour access to the stunning sandy beach. Ideal for swimming water speed about 75 degrees. Just a few minutes walk from bar/restaurants, lobster dinner venue, cycling routes. Perfect location for sightseeing in the area. Park offers mainly seasonal locals who are friendly and helpful. You like party so a little show a little patience. Some evenings can be loud... take it in Stride and come. Bob at the desk goes over and over to make your stay pleasant. We will definitely return. Had a great 6 night stay.
Don’t get the bad reviews. Yes, there are mostly seasonal sites but we stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The site size is the same as most privately owned campgrounds with lovely old trees around camp sites. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The water is not drinkable but they do have a filtered water site where you can fill up jugs for drinking. The campground was quiet and very walkable. Beach is nice but not the best NS has to offer. Showers are standard. Canteen on site, fish and chips are delicious. Lobster suppers on site too with mixed reviews. We didn’t try it. Close to the city to escape for a few days. Location is great. We enjoyed our stay here.
