East Of Grafton - Halifax

Stopped for a drink and some snacks after a Neptune show recently. It was a busy Saturday night but we were offered a table for two but also told that in an hour the table would be needed for a reservation. Fine enough - we could eat and drink quickly. The service was a bit chaotic and slow - there was some confusion about who our wait staff was to be so we were left sitting for quite some time without anyone coming by to take a drink order or to discuss food options. After flagging down the hostess, our waitress was sent over and was very apologetic and took our orders. The wait cut into our allotted time of one hour at our table but the food was good (focaccia for my friend and nachos for me). The nacho tower is a cool presentation but I've seen it in the past made with dark coloured nacho chips and tonight they were just the usual yellow corn chips which didn't have quite the unique wow factor. Feeling a bit pressed for time, we ate quickly in order to vacate our seat for the incoming reservation. The staff nicely adjusted our food bills due to the service mix-ups, which was a nice touch. I would come back to try this spot again on a less busy night to be able to relax and try some other menu options and drinks.

I can see why people would stop here for a drink and light meal before or after the theatre at Neptune or as a warm up spot before a night on the town. Excellent and interesting drinks with some wonderful nibbles to choose from and super friendly waitstaff. The menu was hard to read in the dim lighting but maybe if you are 20 something that wouldn't be an issue! Furniture is gorgeous and always nice to see unisex bathrooms! Nice addition to Argyle Street.

Very interesting design of the restaurant, friendly staff, food was good too. Except for the super spicy wings, that put my mouth on fire. Other than that, very nice place.

East of Grafton is amazing. The menu is diverse to suit all tastes. The food is superbly prepared and the service we experienced was beyond comparison. Our server Alex was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. It is on Argyle St., which was in the midst of construction when we visited....don't pass it by.

We travelled to Nova Scotia for a family vacay with another couple and all of our teenage kiddos....we checked out this restaurant because of it's name! We all absolutely LOVED the super cool décor, the atmosphere, the drinks, and the munchies/food we all ordered... everything was super delicious!!! We also had a really knowledgeable and friendly waitress, which ALWAYS adds to, and can make, the experience. Thank you for a wonderful dinner out!!!!
