Boston Pizza - Halifax

Locale ampio e spazioso nella downtown di Halifax appartenente all catena Boston Pizza . Lo stile è simile a quello di una birreria, con ampi tavoloni, luce soffusa e bancone sovrastato dal numerosi televisori che trasmettono eventi sportivi. Personale gentile e disponibile, servizio informale. Ho provato la loro pizza classica (nel menù dice che è quella che li ha resi famosi): pizza farcita con gamberetti, peperoni, funghi, salame, cheddar e una specie di mozzarella. Sapore molto americano, da buon italiano non mi ha fatto impazzire, ma si può mangiare. Dolci ipercalorici buoni. Costo per due pizze piccole, due dolci e due Coca Cola circa 60 dollari.

As we were new to Hailifax and even first day in Canada, we had no idea what to do for dinner. Eating at a place like this is always a safe option. Lots of choices. Food you know and cannot go wrong. We had a pizza and that was nice. As it was our first day, we had to get used to the american way of service. For us, europeans living in New Zealand, we think this always a bit over the top. But waiter was nice and apologized in a good way for the fact that the wheat option for the pizza was not available.

This restaurant was close to the hotel my mom and I were staying in. We went for supper on a Wednesday evening and it was not very busy. Our waiter (Michael) was very nice and attentive, since it was quiet there. We had been walking outside where it was cold so he brought us glasses of warm water to wrap our hands around. Since there was a special on the wings, we decided to try the boneless bites with honey garlic sauce. They were delicious. We loved them! My mom ordered a burger which she liked and I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The waiter warned me that it would be a lot of food and he wasn't lying! I'm sure it must have been an entire box of spaghetti with 3 meatballs. The meatballs were yummy but I would have liked more sauce on the pasta. But it was way too much food. I didn't even eat half, I got it packed up to take home and there was enough left over for my mom and I to share for lunch the next day. I ordered online a few days later and had it delivered to the hotel. I again ordered the wings which were just as good and the tuscan pizza. I didn't enjoy the pizza as much, it was just ok.

We find the food at Boston Pizza to be very high in sodium and low in flavour. While the menu is quite large the food all tastes the same. It doesn't very from any other Boston Pizza in Canada.

Tonight I was in with my mother and father and all our food was very delicious. For me though I love my sauce, I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. I realized it didn't have enough buffalo sauce on it for me so I asked for a side. I didn't eat all my food so I asked for it packed. Last time I was there I remembered they didn't pack my extra sauce with my food to go so I specifically asked him if he could pack it for me tonight. He replied " Of course, we always do that." Came home and opened my package and there was no sauce in it. It could have been an accident completely but a bit unhappy at the fact that was the last thing I mentioned to the server and with his response.
