Great sommelier__The sommelier here really knows her stuffShe hand-picked the wine for our social, and it was fantastic.

Originally had planned on going to The Press Gang for oysters but they didn't accept walk-ins on this particular evening we went.

The space is lovely -- charming nooks and crannies, cozy bar areas, and a nice insider outdoor lounge, if you wind your way up to the rooftop.

We were visiting Halifax for a wedding and had dinner at this place. Steaks were great, service was excellent. Nice wine selection. They know how to treat guests. I had a slight problem with the preparation of my steak, meaning it was a bit under cooked. The manager went out of her way to make the situation right. They couldn't have been more accommodating. Would definitely recommend !!!!!!

I was excited to give The Barrington Steakhouse and Oyster Bar a try after driving by it during my last business trip to Halifax.As it would turn out, my family vacationed in Halifax in late July, so I had my chance. My husband and I joined some friends in what was to be a private dining area, but was actually just the back corner. No biggie, we made it work. Our meal consisted of a dozen oysters, crusted tenderloin and the rib eye. While the oysters were enjoyable, I have to say the steaks were rather, meh. With our bill coming in at over $200 with drinks, I have to say that I'm glad I tried it, but will try other options on my next visit to Halifax.
