We cancelled our reservation based on the extra $15 they wanted to serve a cake we purchased and brought to the restaurant and would levy the fee even if we brought our own paper plates/forks/napkins! Another restaurant was happy to have our business worth several hundred dollars and served the cake for free with a smile and received a nice tip as well!
It's disappointing when we, concerned consumers are making extra efforts to support our local businesses during these very trying time. We all know that small businesses throughout Canada are strugling with making ends meet... BUT when your business revolves around providing good food to paying customers and you put NO EFFORTS into your finished product. You should close your doors and seek another business venture. This was the third and final attempt to receive a good experience by this restaurant. (Which is unfortunate cause the front end staff are awesome) simple order for two Wonton Soup Egg Roll Lemon Chicken Vegetable Fried Rice the WONTON noodles were hard and probably a few days old, the meat was sparsed and tasted funny. the lemon chicken was soggy and seemed reheated from a previous order. the meat was hard the egg rolls were okay and so was the rice. A formal complaint will be made to the BBB as we deemed this meal to be unsatisfactory... We will never support this restaurant again and we will advise our friends and colleagues to stay well clear. Michel
I have had the Dim Sum here several times. Nothing less than spectacular. Shiu Mai, Shrimp Dumplings and BBQ beef bun. A little soy sauce and it is totally satisfying and delicious. 18 dollars but well worth it, highly recommend their Dim Sum. Sat and Sunday.
Hands down the best Chinese restaurant east of Toronto -I'd include Toronto only if I had eaten in more Chinese restaurants in Toronto to qualify me to comment on Toronto's Chinese restaurant scene. Having lived in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong over the years, I cannot say enough about how good this restaurant is. Real hand-made noodle. Go before they loose the chef!
