Pilot Light - Half Moon Bay

Excellent as always! Today we tried the 4th of July special, a delightful hug and spiced waffle, along with the spiced dish featuring roasted peaches. Everything was delicious!

We first visited on Father's Day and really enjoyed the banana pecan pancakes, avocado toast, house-made yogurt parfait with granola, huevos rancheros, and coffee. It’s a cozy spot that’s dog-friendly; you place your order inside, and they give you a pager to find a table. Once you’re ready to eat, they’ll bring your food to you. The coffee is fantastic, and I love that they offer milk as a creamer option. We even played cornhole out front while we waited. I definitely recommend this place, but it can get quite busy. I suggest going right when they open!

It’s a bit risky to live right above the bustling autobahn of Pilot Light because I can’t resist ordering the Dutch baby every time, which always leads me into a delightful food coma. The berries are always fresh, and the whipped cream is a real treat. My partner had the burger, and it was incredibly tasty as well. We really enjoy the ambiance, the option to sit outside, and of course, the lovely views of the landscape.

They are just beginning and the early results are huge imho. a great upgrade from the venerable cafe three zero, which has been standing here for years and it could not be different. pilotlight serves a very elevated breakfast (that's all we've tried, but we'll definitely be back to lunch) and some of the strongest, best home coffee I've ever had. basic speck eier toast is a cut top with thick cut speck fried crispy and griddle roasted sourdough brot on the side. I am not usually a Frittata fan, but it is absolutely worth trying a healthy part of sweet filled, fluffy eggs with a wonderful little precious stone salad. both plates came with a generous bowl of crispy made home fried kartoffeln with paprika and swirling. and this coffee! the beautiful interior is bright and airy, and of course, the rear terrace has a front seat of the hmb airport taxiway and the landbahn. breakfast for two with all this quality was about $45 in front of top. can not wait to come back, this will be our main stop to breakfast or lunch on the coast.

We were so excited when this reopened, though miss the old name 3 Zero Cafe. This was our favorite place to go and often went once a week and brought friends. Have had a long standing tradition of having their Mickey Mouse pancakes here on the last day of school for our grandchildren. But $18 for pancakes is just plan ludicrous. We'll stay home and have home made Belgium waffles with all the fixings at Grammies house. How can pancakes and a hamburger cost the same? Breakfast is what brings them in, big mistake making them so expensive.
