Flying Fish Grill - Half Moon Bay

Sat outside in their back terrace for a quick afternoon appetizer (which turns into an early dinner). The service was still as good as its old location over the street, but its menu is perhaps limited due to Covid. The food came fast and hot as we arrived outside the peak hours. Diners are asked to scan the QR code on the table and display their menu online. Then a waitress comes by and takes your order personally. The service was good as mentioned, and the food was still delicious.

Crabcakes were super fleshy and fresh, although a bit greasy. I would order her for the big taste despite this one! The sauce that came with them was completely separated and difficult to obtain, as we were not utensils, but was very tasteful. New England clam chowder was thick and chunky and again very fresh! My date got the crab sandwich with pommes and Slav and really enjoyed it! They were very busy and seemed to do their best just to take orders. Would definitely recommend

I always loved this place. In the old location they were also great. A little higher than before, but still the best, freshest seafood. Friendly servers. Beloved watch a little old lady trying to find out what Dessert wanted her and the server went patiently over the menu, three times and even once in Spanish. It was very sweet.

Very decent Jambalaya. Huge part. Great fish and chips. Tends to be in the expensive side, but you are not hungry after meal. Just for now.

Great customer service. We didn't wait very long to be seated. They also checked in on us throughout our meal and were attentive. Food was good too!
