Service was excellent, place was clean and restrooms were also cleaned and smelled good. Considering that our version of Tex Mex or Mexican food, has been from the cuisine we have tasted in South Texas. So, giving other parts of the country to showcase their Tex Mex version, is always a hit or miss. Today, it was a hit for me, but not for my wife. I ordered the Carne Guizada with Cheeae, and when I asked the waitress, if it was good, she couldn’t tell me because she had not tasted it. My said that the reviews were great. So I ordered it. It was delish, cooked well, cheese melted and the rice and beans were great!! Even the homemade flour tortillas hit the spot. She ordered the Chile Relleno, which I did not take a pic, and now regret. It did not look like a Chile Relleno, but more like meat with cheese on top of poblano pepper that was no where to be seen. And it tasted like crisp mean on top of nachos that were not there. Total miss for that chille Relleno. My wife is not easily disappointed and today she was. Tea was great also. So today, they are rated a low 3. I would give them a chance and order something else on menu, my wife would probably not. Good luck to everyone else.

Delicious gorditas, carne guisada burritos , and enchiladas. We always enjoy eating at Texas Cafe. Definitely one of our favorite places . Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
Driving through, my maps app shows me the Texas Cafe. I stopped for a break and had some delicious fajitas. Great sweet tea and Friendly service. There was a shaker of a seasoning that was super tasty. Excellent on the chips accompanied by an excellent salsa! TC is a place I would recommend.
