Solid little sushi place near the Hakone Open Air Museum. I got the Anago don and it was quite good. I also tried some of the nigiri my partner got and it was high quality.
Small sushi shop run by a couple. Delicious nigiri set lunch after visiting Hakone Open Air Museum. Cash only. The set pictured was about ¥3500.
Cute sushi restaurant on the hakone loop. plenty of vegetarian vegan sushi options. take out available. staff does not speak much English. 4 stars because the wait was super long. It took 1.5-2 hours to seat just one person at the counter which is a bit long. not many seats so be prepared to wait. the food was great tho. but we ended up not being able to finish the loop because we didn't expect to wait so long for a meal.
Decided to try out this place after reading the reviews about the vegetarian food being good. Not many restaurants in this area cater to vegans or vegetarians. I ordered the inarizushi, edamame and cucumbers with house made garlic miso. The inarizushi was overwhelmingly sweet for my taste and I didn't find it that good. The portion was good and each piece was quite big however I couldn't finish it. The cucumber pieces with the miso were also not the best. The miso was sweet and the garlic flavour was somehow not well balanced. Edamame was standard. The service was quick, the ambience was traditional and one may like the food if they like it to be on the sweeter side.
