Falafel President - Haifa

I just landed in Israel and the first visit was Falafel President. Among the best of the Falafel places and I tried many of them over 60 years. Fresh, clean, amazing salads and sauces, and always with a big smile. I miss something, even nearby, in NY.

Simple, down to earth and the best sabich I ever found in Haifa.

The best falafel I have ever had, personally. The first time I visited was back in the summer of 2018, and it was my first ever falafel outside of the U.S.. Did not disappoint, so I made sure to pay them another visit on my recent trip in December. And it was just as good. The falafel are hot and fresh, fried right in front of you, which is a good contrast to the cool and crispy condiments. All the sauces are great, especially the rich tahini and herbaceous green chimichurri-esque one. The bread is soft and pillowy, and all together it makes a great production. A very reasonable price of 20 NIS and friendly staff. Definitely pay them a visit if in Haifa.
