Popino - Haemeenlinna

Rustica pizza. salami, ananas, cheese, pfeffer. all pizzas are equipped with a delicious salad cup. pizza has very, very thin crust. that is a high quality restaurant with high quality interiors. if you need a trusted option, this place is it. beautiful terrace in the free.

Mediocre food. Pizza is about the same level as frozen pizza. Needs a menu overhaul asap..good service

Very nice and attentive service and a good variety of options. Food was tasty and fresh. A table was found without reservation on a busy day, and there was no delay in getting the food served.

Due to Popino’s well reviewed reputation, our expectations were high. We had reserved a table one day prior to our six-o’clock dinner. However the table reserved for us was right next to the toilet facilities and therefore, we had the “pleasure” to eat in a bad smell. Also, the table was really tight and placed in a corner. Not so good first impression. The pizza was great though. And it was served within quite fast time. The personnel was really nice but they didn’t come to offer us the bill after we had finished but instead we had to ask for it from the counter.

We went on 7th April 2022 as a family of 4 our daughter is vegetarian and our son is a fussy eater. We found the menu to have loads of options for all of us. I had the Santorini chicken, my husband the crispy chicken, our daughter the avocado pasta (minus chilli and lime) and our son the build your own kids’ pizza. All of the meals were delicious. The service was really friendly and well timed. The wine was also lovely! Not a cheap meal but I do think it was well worth the money for a lovely, filling meal. With tip, it was €130 for 4 mains, 2 wines and 2 soft drinks. We hadn’t booked as it was only our 2nd night in Finland and we were just popping into Hameenlinna for a few hours but we went at around 5pm and were seated straightaway. I imagine at peak times though, you really need to book. I’d highly recommend Popino
