Station House - Haddon Heights

Directly forward food, friendly staff, cozy environment. I had the philly omelet that was good and the hashbrowns were good too. Menu was much bigger, then I thought for such a little space. Looks like a place for regulars and those who are looking for something really close to home cooking. Definitely plan to come back and tell taxi honestly, I think I prefer it over a diner breakfast.

The railway station house, named for its location at the Avenue Station near the platforms, serves breakfast and lunch. In the past, the decor seemed somewhat darker and split, but when I recently returned, I found the new decor much brighter and more airy. I would describe it as casual and welcoming. It definitely has a local small town neighborhood feel it. Drinks are served in ball glasses. Your breakfast menu consists of all the standards you expect... eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, etc. You also have specialties. I was there on the fourth of July weekend and they had several patriotic named specialties like the Independence Egg Casserole, which was delicious. It was an egg over oash brown potatoes with bacon and cheese. I never tried their lunch, but the menu includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, wraps... everything you would expect. Your convenient location near other small shops and shops (plus the Haddon Heights Farmers Market on Sunday during spring summer and autumn) as well as the friendly service make this a rewarding stop.

On Saturday morning here for breakfast. We sat immediately, but it took us a while to take over and operate our order. The food was delicious (I had breakfast quesadilla). My mother is here regularly and said that the slow service was quite unusual, so if that is the case, definitely worth going!

Good food, great service, decent prices, old school magic.

The food itself is very good, but the kitchen speed on the other hand is extremely slow. It beckons the question of quality versus quantity. This place definitely focuses on its quality which is a breath of fresh air, but still its speed of getting dishes out of the kitchen is extremely slow. This is no fault of the servers.
