Troy - Hackney

This restaurant truly offers the most affordable and delicious Caribbean cuisine, especially with their lunch combo specials. I always come here for the jerk chicken and grilled fish, which are absolutely fantastic. The meals even come with plantains and salads at no additional cost.

This restaurant is a wonderful spot to enjoy some high-quality live music performed by the house band. If you are a fan of live music, be sure to check it out. The only downside is that the bouncers can be impolite and disrespectful at times. Keep in mind that this venue only accepts cash payments.

Amazing venue with a unique style and very focused on music. The musicians who play at Troy bar are elite. I'm a regular at Troy bar on Thursdays reggae, definitely the best live reggae bar in London and probably the only one. I've seen some amazing musicians there including Junior Marvin, former the weillers guitar player. Definitely one of a kind bar in London. The jerk chicken is a must if you ever visit this bar.

Another odd thing about the place, besides the rude management, is that they only accept cash for the entrance fee and food, but you can pay for drinks with a card. It's curious that they have the capability to accept all payments by card but choose not to. Additionally, they do not accept banknotes issued by Scottish banks, even though refusing them is against the law!
