The Cock Tavern - Hackney

Seemed a bit surly service to me, but overall we had a good time relaxing. It’s quite stuffy inside, with only fans, so I would def go earlier in the afternoon like we did. Great variety of ciders on tap and a wicked strong cherry mead also available.

Very disappointing, rude service, beer garden isn’t really as described.. shame that one of few Hackney pubs offers so little

Just love this pub and not been for a while. Went in about 3pm and only people there and loved the range of beers and nice wine spritzer too. No food but said we could bring anything in. Came back at 7.30pm after film over the road with pizza, quiche etc and no problem. Got the last table and had more superb drinks. The beer 'garden ' is hilarious for smokers. Like a small back yard....kind of cute

Lovely friendly helpful service, superb range of beers, what more could you want.?You wont get food in here, it's really is just a traditional pub and that's not a criticism at all. If you like a beer and in the area, well worth a visit. Even if not in the area, two minutes from Hackney Central so worth a trip

Great beers and friendly staff. They were more than happy to give us a taste and talk about the different beers. We ended up staying for a few. And yes we tried the pickled eggs too. Definitely with a visit
