What a gem of a place stopped here en route from NYC to northern PA after hiking in the nearby state park and had lunch on the porch. Fresh food, friendly service, old school/folksy decor, and good prices. We’ll definitely stop here again!
Would consider giving it another try for lunch, maybe, but breakfast was not the right choice for us. Perhaps just try something besides the buttermilk pancakes which were like bricks and the “crispy” corned beef hash that someone in my party requested even extra crispier and it came out of the can, barely heated. Another guest in my party ordered the special pancakes and received a children’s size order of pancakes instead. Overall, it was kind of overpriced. When I pointed out that we were overcharged for something on the bill, it seemed the waitress (she was the only one) was too busy to deal with it. Soon after, she came back over and told me she couldn’t figure it out so she just took it off the bill….
Great local place, food is great. Owner is super friendly along with the staff, love Mary
We accidentally found this place on our way home from NYC and it’s a terrific place for lunch. We’ll definitely stop here again the soup was exceptional both the mushroom bisque and lentil soup. My husband had a burger which was cooked perfectly medium and I had the grandmas meatloaf sandwich that was delicious.
