Tamaya - Hacienda Heights

I always make sure to visit this restaurant when I'm in town, as it never disappoints me and the staff is consistently wonderful. I really appreciate their monthly specials. I tried the meat-loving wheel, and it was just perfect. The restaurant has gotten smaller due to COVID-19, and now you have to place your order outside before you can dine indoors. I truly hope that this situation improves soon so that the restaurant can thrive to its fullest potential.

The chicken karaage was out of this world! It was incredibly tender and juicy on the inside, while the outside was perfectly crispy, served with a side of spicy mayo—this is a must-try! Don't miss out on the gyoza either; they were flavorful and came with a delicious spicy soy sauce for dipping. I can't wait to try more from your menu!

The donburi dishes are also quite good! I recommend the tonkotsu ramen and their various donburi options. Now that I've stopped eating meat, I decided to try the vegetarian yakisoba. It was decent, though a bit greasy, but the wok aroma was nice. It’s definitely worth a few visits! Just a heads up: you need to order outside and find a place to sit, so make sure you know what you want before you get there.

The soup stock is soou good. I can't wait to try the other types of rammen. highly recommended!
