Fu's Cantonese - Gwynedd

An early evening mid-week meal for three and all was acceptable at Fu's. £92 got three main courses/two fried rice/mixed starters for two/two large waters and three pints of premium lager. We thought this was reasonable for a Harbourside eatery. Food was of reasonable quality and we ate it all, but it was not great, just edible. Service was excellent friendly and fast, because of this I raised my score from three to four star.

The food is amazing here!! sometimes we use takeaway and it is warm and tasty. Staff also nice and friendly!! There is a lot of tables but in a peak season, reservation may be needed!! Sweet and Sour chicken and Salt Papper Chips are my faverite!!

This restaurant is fantastic. We've ordered takeout several times and always try new dishes. My go-to appetizer is the king prawn toast and my favorite main course is the sticky chili beef. Fu's is always bustling with noise. I can't wait to leave because of it! I would love to dine in, but I couldn't stand the loud music. The food is always delicious and prepared quickly. My only gripe is the price. It's about 20% more costly than other Cantonese restaurants we frequent.

The staff were exceptional and exceeding expectations. The portion sizes were generous, however the vegetable udon noodles were overly salty and required a lot of water. On the other hand, the sweetcorn soup was delightful. My partner ordered a chicken dish and king prawn rice, both of which he greatly enjoyed.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Fu's as I've been quite a few times. we actually celebrated my daughter's 12th birthday party there last September and I could'nt fault them. The experience we had last week was just the same. We had booked for a large party weeks in advance last day of school celebrations we had phoned quite a few times changing the reservation but they didn't mind at all and were always pleasant on the phone. We were a party of eleven and e had one of the large circular tables to eat on which is great beacuse everyone can be part of the same conversation and sharing dishes is much easier. The service is always spot on. The orders are taken quickly, drinks are served nearly immediately after ordering and the food comes out all freshly prepared, hot and delicious. I'm not very adventorous and tend to order the same thing, but our party ordered various dishes and no one had a word of complaint. The waitresses would pop over every now and then to check if we neded more drinks etc. There is a wide range of drinks available on the menu. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and there is a huge menu to choose from that would suit all dietary requirements. You can also ask for dishes not to include certain ingredients for instance one of our party wanted no onions in the chicken curry. There are also a range of banquet set meals to choose from. The nice thing about Fu's that I always appreciate is , they never try to hurry you away after you have finished. You can take your time to have another drink, let your food settle before leaving. if you are a large party it is worth noting that you cannot pay your bill sperately, you will be given a copy of the order and can work ut how much you owe this way. This means everyone seated at the table ha to be ready to pay at the same time this is not a problem at all but worth knowing in advance perhaps. The restraunt/ bar/ toilets are very clean . I acnnot fault Fu's the food and staff are excellent. Many thanks.
