Visited in september 2019 during my vacation in wales. I went to Aber-Stürzen earlier that day, and because I had still time, I went to this one because they were close. it is also very imposing of further and closer, especially with the efeu on the walls that have become reddish near the autumn. it had a small railway museum in the courtyard before I went to the entrance of the castle. the view is fantastic as well as the interieur. there are some rooms to visit and the whole corridor, stairs, hall, everything is just so spacious and rich that I just wandered around with surprise and I could not have enough pictures. the dome is an architectural masterpiece, and the so many tiny details in carved are amazing. there are toilets and caffe in the cellar, also in the railway museum, and then we can have a walk in the beautiful garden. as far as I have seen, senioren can drive up to the burg by car, otherwise the visitor center is a little further down. it is a wonderful and impressive place to visit and I dare to say a must see in wales. national trust website so that members go free. from the main road leads a vaulted stone gate to being that I missed it two times, so I thought better to warn others.
The unique industrial castle we have ever seen. massive beautifully decorated rooms with a lot of interesting history and many nice people who can explain it to them. the zugexpo is great as it brings you closer to the period of quarries and mining in wales. lots of space to foot, have a picnic or simply sunbathe, a nice caffe and business. what a great experience. Do not miss them.
Beautiful place to visit with great architecture and beautiful gardens, the inner also has some amazing furniture and draperies, the only thing it was for me where the money that was built it came. it is a good burg that is late but still intact. just spend a few hours at the attraction.
Beautiful National Trust property. Pleasant staff. Very good Easter egg trail. Absolutely stunning interior decor. Railway way museum is alright there are much better out there. The star of the show is most definitely the castle. This was my second visit a good ten years apart I thought that there might be more of the castle open now. Such a shame one of the towers isn't open to take in the incredible vistas.
