Caffi Kiki - Gwynedd

After reading great reviews, my family and I decided to book a table at this restaurant one night. Unfortunately, we found the food to be very average and overpriced. While the lamb stew was decent, there was not much meat in it. The calamari seemed store-bought and lacked authenticity. As Sicilians, we know our seafood and were not impressed. Additionally, the portion of swordfish my son received was disappointingly small. We felt rushed during our meal, likely because we arrived late due to traffic. Despite being one of only three tables in the restaurant, we did not feel comfortable taking photos. Overall, our dining experience was not as expected.

What a lovely meal! Kids are really fussy but they were v accommodating and the kids loved their first Greek meal. I had swordfish and potatoes which was super. Halloumi and pitta for my eldest which went down really well. Only thing missing was some taramasalata!

We arrived at the Lakeside cafe late on Saturday afternoon unaware that in the evening it became Caffi Kiki,a greek restaurant,the waiter kindly provided us with some drinks and after a while found us a table,the food was delicious,authentic greek fayre.Our hosts were very accomodating and friendly.

Having identified this restaurant as the top Trip Advisor selection for restaurants in Blaenau Ffestiniog, we booked up (easily) in advance by text and the experience massively exceeded our already high expectations ! Welcome was warm, ambience even better (with a soft backdrop of Greek music) and food was top drawer. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and are disappointed that we can’t come back again during the week as it’s only opened Friday and Saturday nights and we’ll be off home by the time it next opens. Thanks Kiki and team we’d certainly come back if in the area again.

The food at this restaurant was outstanding. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area (or willing to make the drive).
