La Potosina is a hidden gem in the world of Mexican cuisine that may seem unbelievable at first. Don't be misled by the name; "La Potosina" refers to a city in Mexico, not something you’ll find in your Spanish dictionary. The decor may be minimal, but the food more than makes up for it. Dining options include booths, tables, or the counter, giving you a cozy choice. The menu is straightforward and budget-friendly. Their salsa is fresh with a nice kick, and while ordering queso comes with an extra dollar charge, it is served warm and was a hit with my grandson. The server, a local, was friendly without being intrusive. I also noticed an old Coke refrigerator stocked with traditional Mexican sodas available with your meal. It's not often that you find a small "Mom and Pop" eatery that serves such good, simple, and delicious Mexican food.

Very good! My husband insisted on giving it 5 stars. He ordered the beef enchiladas with chili sauce for lunch, priced at $7.95. I had two chicken enchiladas with white cheese sauce. When I told the waitress that the dish wasn’t very spicy, she brought out some yellow queso for us to try. It was excellent and had a nice kick to it. The salsa was also delicious and full of flavor—not bland at all. This place feels like authentic Mexican food. We will definitely eat here again!

I really enjoy dining at this place! Our waitress was attentive and well-informed about the menu. I ordered the Fajitas along with some freshly-made corn tortillas, and everything was deliciously fresh and authentic. I highly recommend taking your time to enjoy a meal here. The decor is simple, but don’t let that deter you from staying for dinner! They also offer a selection of drinks and beer.

He received a great and very generous portion of Tilapia. Roasted vegetables were right on the brand. The rice could have been a bit warmer, and the white Queso was a bit on the Bland side. I'd definitely go back.

Food was amazing. They have different stuff, on the menu, than the other mexican restaurants in town. I love it. Definitely my new spot.
