La Mexicana - Gustine

This restaurant is both affordable and delicious, with friendly staff. An added bonus is that it's also a grocery store, where you can find great meats that we often use for carne asadas, among other dishes.

The restaurant offers some interesting items, including sweet bread (which doesn't seem to be made on-site), but I have a couple of complaints. Firstly, some of the products on the shelves were expired. Secondly, while the hot food is decent, there are hygiene concerns; the staff need to wash their hands or wear gloves when preparing food. I've noticed that the cashier handles money and other tasks, and then prepares food with her bare hands without washing them first.

During corn season, I discovered the most delightful sweet corn at this place. A friendly woman assisted me by suggesting some Adobe spices, recommending that I mix them with mayo, brush it onto the corn, and then grill it on the BBQ. It turned out fantastic and has become my new favorite corn recipe!
