Alcatraz Camping, Hostel, Canoe Kayak Rental

It's a very interesting place, but let them know. the focus was mainly on people who have a series of more specific activities (such as kanu paddle in the sea and in the canal (dalslandskanal, but not to say that it is exclusively for this ppl, everyone is welcome. the people who walk the place are very friendly people from the holland. it is located on a beautiful location on the lake, but its also some distance from the next. in order. the village gustavsfors is quite tiny and does not offer much more than a small super market. activities for smaller children are limited to a small playground. the check-out procedures need work. waited 20 minutes to simply return the keys.

It wasn t what we hoped for. We thought it would be nice to stay at a campsite where you could do different activities, but it was a really busy with a lot of scouting kids. I didn t like the fact that they had shower that after two times three minutes turned of for 15 minutes, there is only one sink to wash the dishes and that the owner didn t help in any way when we found out there is a fireban. Because tha campsite doesn t have a kitchen to cook in (like a lot of other places do there is no possibility of cooking anything warm. So we packed up everything and went to the campsite 1.5 km up road 172 to a lovely campsite with a kitchen and just ate our really nice hot meal :

Very friendly people with good recommendations where they can go and where not. the place for tent and the kajaks for rent have a good quality and sufficient storage space for a week camping equipment and accessories. we had a beautiful kanutour on the lake västra silen.

We were here with our camper and discovered the place by chance. at the first sight it looked up, but when we went to the reception, we were warmly welcomed by Dutch owners. they were very friendly and we spent a few days on this beautiful place. we have a small motorboat rental to discover the sea, went swimming and had a wonderful time. groups of young pathfinders (about 14-16 years old) did not cause any wut at all.

We found that the employees were friendly and helpful, all languages English, Swedish and Dutch (possibly more). if it is not important to them, make community facilities (bathrooms were very clean and in good order) it a little cheaper their trip. kajak, swimming, motor cycling (as we were) or just relaxing, this is a great place.
