Chan Kong Chinese - GUNDAGAI

Good suburban country town style takeaway Chinese. Nothing fancy....but a good simple feed. Because of mixed reviews by other people, we stuck to basic dishes (standard fried rice, chicken omelette and stir fried vegetables. Big containers meant we had enough for second night (2 people). I'd try more adventurous dishes next time, based on quality of what we had this time.

Being vegetarian I had vegie fried rice and stir fried veggies in garlic sauce. It was delicious. Love the polite young boy helping out his parents who made a point of telling me that the wok has had meat cooked in it. It’s the first time in 45 years that anyone has informed me of this. I didn’t mind, so all good- but it is a sign of respect. Been there a couple of times passing through now. Will go again.

Every time we pass by this town we get takeaway from this Chinese restaurant. Love the service, food and it is also staffed by the best staff I have ever come across. The vegetarian options are fantastic! Highly recommend!
