Country Kitchen - Gumboro

Wow, what a find! We were visiting the area from PA. Shout out to our niece Kimberly for telling us about this great restaurant. The Place is a bit dated but clean and bright with very comfortable booths. Our waitress was Lisa, an exceptional lady! She has many years experience in food service and it shows. I had a grilled cheese sandwich and vegetable beef soup. My wife, the BLT and salad. Our niece also had a grilled cheese and a salad. All of which was delicious and served with dispatch and friendliness. Total cost, under $30! Oh, I almost forgot, that included my chocolate pudding and whipped cream for dessert.The next night I had take out. A turkey and swiss on rye. Extremely fresh tasting and delicious!

Tasty, affordable food, generous portions. Despite being a bit worn the place is clean and comfortable. My wife had the fish combo and I chose liver and onions. Both included a very tasty beef vegetable soup, house made and loaded with veggies. Everything was cooked just right, done but not dry. Light on the seasonings and not too salty. We'll go back again if we're passing through town.

Good meal, had the fried fish, and the breading is great.
